Privacy & data
Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2, 2026
The short version: Ezy PDF Editor runs entirely in your web browser. Your PDFs are opened, edited, and saved on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. We have no user accounts, ask for no email, and run no advertising or analytics trackers. The details below explain the few places where a third party is involved.
Your files never leave your device
When you open a PDF, it is read directly by your browser and processed on your own device. Rendering (via PDF.js), text editing, optical character recognition (via Tesseract, which runs locally in your browser), and exporting the finished file all happen locally. Your document is not transmitted to us or stored on any server. When you download your edited PDF, the new file is generated in your browser and saved straight to your device.
Because your files are never sent to us, we cannot see, access, retain, or recover them. Keeping your own copy of anything important is your responsibility.
Information we collect
We do not require an account, a sign-up, an email address, or any personal information to use Ezy PDF Editor. We do not run advertising networks, analytics suites, or tracking pixels, and we do not build profiles of our users or sell or share personal data. In normal use, the app collects no personal information from you at all.
Cookies and local storage
Ezy PDF Editor uses your browser's local storage to remember small preferences, such as your light or dark theme choice. This stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
The editor also stores documents and unfinished edits in your browser so you can continue a session. The most recently opened document may remain cached on your device until you open another document or clear this site's browser data. These locally saved files are never sent to us.
The only cookie the site may set is googtrans, which is created by the language selector (see below) only ifyou choose a language other than English, so your choice is remembered on your next visit. If you leave the language set to English, no such cookie is stored.
Third-party services
The app is designed to work on its own, but two optional features rely on an external service. We keep this list short and specific:
Google Website Translate
The language selector is powered by Google Website Translate. To provide it, each page loads a script from Google (translate.google.com), so Google may receive standard request information, such as your IP address, when the page loads. If you choose a language other than English, the visible interface text of the page is sent to Google to be translated and returned.Your PDF content is never part of this. The document is drawn onto a canvas and is not readable as page text, so it is not sent to Google. Google's handling of the data it receives is governed by theGoogle Privacy Policy.
Font delivery (CDN)
If you choose a custom font in the editor's font picker, your browser downloads that font from a content-delivery network (Fontsource, served via jsDelivr). The CDN necessarily receives your IP address and the name of the font requested in order to deliver the file. The app's own interface fonts are bundled with the site and require no external request, so this only applies when you actively pick a downloadable font.
Website hosting and server logs
Like virtually every website, the servers that host this site may automatically record standard technical request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of the request, for the purpose of serving pages and keeping the site secure and reliable. We do not use this information to identify you personally or to track you across other websites.
Data security
The strongest protection for your documents is structural: because they are processed entirely within your browser and are never transmitted to us, there is no copy of your files on our side to be lost or breached. As always, we recommend using an up-to-date browser and a device you trust.
Children's privacy
Ezy PDF Editor is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. Because the app does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a feature that changes how data is handled. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
